@mark_vincentFairfax, Virginia

ok so i was failing precalc and now im not. thats all i needed to say

@moonlit.peachSunnyvale, California

use this for my engineering classes and it walks through derivations step by step. way better than chegg

@ahmad_shahAustin, Texas

helps me a lot in school I get a lot of A's and B's because of this. This is my favorite studying app.

@kofi_aPlano, Texas

Eigen is like a personal tutor and takes you step by step through everything in an engaging format

@kai.0830Newton, Massachusetts

best study app fr saved my gpa this semester

@hyperaura_12Bellevue, Washington

was super skeptical but my roommate kept using it so i tried it for stats and now im hooked

@nyx_2207Alpharetta, Georgia

Helped explain college math better than my teacher.

@fatima_hSan Diego, California

Love this app for studying!!!!!

@milobean.22Chandler, Arizona

explains things in a way that actually clicks. been using it for linear algebra and its been a game changer

@ghostpepper555Palo Alto, California

The setup
Drip NaOH of known molarity into acetic acid of unknown amount.
What’s in play
•Titrant: NaOH, a strong base of known molarity
•Analyte: CH3COOH, a weak acid of unknown amount
•Indicator: phenolphthalein, which flags the endpoint
The measurement
At the equivalence point, the moles of base added equal the moles of acid present.
MaVa = MbVb
Titrating a Weak Acid
Adding strong base to a weak acid first builds a buffer: a mix of the acid (HA) and its conjugate base ([A−]) that resists pH change.
Ka = [H+][A−] / [HA]
The acid-dissociation constant: small Ka means weak.
pH = pKa + log ( [A−] / [HA] )
Henderson-Hasselbalch: buffer pH is set by the ratio of base to acid.
At the half-equivalence point, [HA] = [A−], so the log term is zero and pH = pKa.
At the equivalence point, every HA has become A−, a weak base, so the solution turns basic and pH > 7.
The curve
pH inches up through the buffer region, then jumps at the equivalence point.
Reading it
•Flat stretch: the buffer region
•Buffer midpoint: pH = pKa
•Steep jump: the equivalence point
StageIn solutionpH
InitialHA onlyset by Ka
BufferHA + A−≈ pKa
EquivalenceA− only> 7
